An accessory in universal colours with a print inspired by tradition. It was created using the technology of reproducing traditional embossing. This is a technique of creating ornaments on fabric using carved shapes. In the 15th century, the town of Krolevets in Sumy region was considered the centre of the art of embossing. It looked like this: wooden planks or clichés were dipped in paint and imprinted on fabric. Each vzor is a handmade work: from creating a mould for the stamp to applying the ornament to the fabric. ‘The design is based on traditional Ukrainian floral ornaments created using the embossing technique: stems with leaves, flowers, bunches of grapes, birds,’ says the author of the print. It is complemented by a stylised coat of arms as a reminder of home.
