Description

Material: brass

The cross has regional features of decor and production technology. The pattern in the form of floral rosettes and lines was applied by minting on a cut metal plate. It was widespread in the territory occupied by Ukrainian Cossacks and dates back to the second half of the 18th and 19th centuries.

It comes from the collection of Viktor Veklenko (Museum of the Cross, Dnipro). The prototype was found in the vicinity of Yampil (Lyman district, Donetsk region).
