Description

Material: bronze

The cross has regional features of decor and production technology. The pattern in the form of floral rosettes and lines was applied by minting on a cut metal plate. It was widespread in the territory occupied by Ukrainian Cossacks and dates back to the second half of the 18th-19th centuries.

It comes from the collection of Viktor Veklenko (Museum of the Cross, Dnipro). The prototype was found in the vicinity of Yampil (Lyman district, Donetsk region).
