This embroidered shirt is inspired by the traditional folk costumes of the Yavoriv region (Lviv Oblast) from the early 20th century. During this period, a tradition of floral and bouquet motifs, rendered in rich colours, developed in the region. Among the people, this style was also known as ‘Glorious Yavorivka’. The blooming flower clusters are archaic symbols of life-giving power and the reawakening of nature.
