Embroidered dress “Sumy region”

Women's embroidered dress from the collection “Embroidered Ukraine”.

The dress pattern is reproduced from a shirt from the Romny district of Sumy region. This region is characterized by embroidery with an imperfect and asymmetrical pattern, similar to handwriting with a pen. People called such shirts “pysany”.
The original, from which the shirt was reproduced, was taken from the private collection of ethnologist Khrystyna Shcherbyna.

Fabric composition: 100% linen

Fabric color: gray

Care:
1. Washing:

hand or machine, at a water temperature not exceeding 40°C;
do not use products containing bleaches, including chlorine;
do not use the spin cycle when machine washing.
2. The garment is well resistant to heat treatment, including ironing.
3. We recommend ironing the garment from the wrong side.
