Traditional long black skirt with lining “Sumska”

The skirt with a lining is an elegant and minimalistic garment originating from the Sumy region, decorated with a velvet ribbon, pleats, and a flowered lining at the bottom. It twirls beautifully thanks to its wide cut, the lining is clearly visible in motion, and the velvet ribbon shimmers in the sun. The elastic band at the back of the waistband allows for a comfortable fit.

It goes well with traditional embroidered shirts and everyday wear, as it can be easily combined with everyday clothes.

The design is based on an old photograph from 1911 of the village of Smile (Slobozhanshchyna, Sumy region).
