Composition: 100% softened linen
The Budenka shirt is a versatile element of traditional clothing that is comfortable both in warm summer weather and on cooler days. Softened linen is breathable, pleasant to the touch, and does not scratch, while its distinctive texture brings the garment closer to ancient Ukrainian clothing designs.
The shirt is loose-fitting, with puffy sleeves gathered into abundant folds. The cuffs are decorated with buttons, and the neckline has lacing with hand-knitted loops made of cotton thread. The set includes a bag with interchangeable colored ribbons for decorating the neckline, including blue and yellow colors, which allows you to easily change the accent of the image.
The product is based on a shirt from the Ternopil region (village of Dnistrove, Borshchiv district), dated 1930–1940. Shirts of the “budenka” type were common throughout Ukraine and served as everyday, yet aesthetic, clothing.
Product care:
— machine washable at temperatures up to 30 °C with mild gel detergents, only with light-colored non-colored clothing;
— it is best to iron the fabric while it is still slightly damp with steam;
— do not dry on a radiator, dry in a well-spread horizontal position or on a hanger;
— Store away from direct sunlight.
