Here, trendy colours are combined with a traditional craft. Through this shawl, we want to introduce you to the technique of embossing - creating ornaments on fabric using carved shapes. The author, Viktoriia, was inspired by this craft to create her own unique look that carries meanings. ‘The design is based on traditional Ukrainian floral ornaments created using the embossing technique: stems with leaves, flowers, bunches of grapes, birds,’ says the author of the print. It is complemented by a stylised coat of arms as a reminder of home.
