A pendant with the Trident used in Rus during the reign of Sviatoslav the Brave. Sviatoslav Ihorovych (the Brave, the Conqueror) (c. 935 - March 972) was a Russian prince, statesman, politician, and military leader from the Rurik dynasty. Prince of Novgorod, Grand Duke of Kyiv, ruler of Russia (945, independently from 964-972). Son of Prince Igor I the Old and his wife, Princess Olga. He was famous for his military campaigns against neighboring nations and states.
