Materials: Ceramic

The mug and saucer are made according to the old technology of black-smoked ceramics. Black pottery is made from special clay on a potter's wheel. Then the products are smoothed with a stone from the same clay deposit; they are also "painted" on them with ornaments. After firing, the smoothed surface has a dark silvery color, while the unsmoothed surface has a black color. The most famous center of black pottery in Ukraine is the village Havarechyna in Lviv region.
